Classroom voice level chart
Show the class how loud they may talk, from 0 (silent) to 4 (outside voice). One big, clear level fills the screen with Oly showing it, so you can change the rules of an activity without saying a word.

Ways to use it in class
- Silent reading and tests at level 0, pair work at 1, group work at 2.

- Pair it with the noise meter: set the meter’s limit to match the level.
- Teach the levels in the first week, then just point at the screen.
Questions teachers ask
What are voice levels?
A simple scale from 0 to 4 that tells students how loud they may talk: 0 silent, 1 whisper, 2 table talk, 3 class voice, 4 outside voice.
Can I use it with the noise meter?
Yes. Show the level here, then open the noise meter to check the class keeps to it.
Does it work for young children?
Yes. Each level has its own colour and Oly picture, so children who can’t read yet understand it too.
